General Notes: 1789. Edgecombe Co., N.C. Deed Book 5, page 172. Deed proves Alexander "Balkum" as Ichabod's son and heir.
1805. Alexander Balcombe's name appears on the Oglethorpe Co. land lottery, indicating he had been a resident of that county for at least a year.
1820. Jones County, Georgia census lists Alexander Balckom, over 45 years of age, Ichabod Balckom, age 26 to 45, Sarah Balckom, age 26 to 45, and their families.

Alexander Bolkom of Jones County, for One Thousand dollars, sells land to Abner Wemberly; 202 1/2 acres known as lot #39 in the eighth District formerly Baldwin county now Jones County.
