General Notes: After the death of his mother Loren went to live with another family, ( I think it was a neighbor by the name of Holt ). He changed his name to Louis Asher Townsley some time before he married probably when he was in the Army. His son also went by the name of Townsley.

She also liked to sew and was an excellent house keeper and cook. Cause of death cancer. Buried Highland Cem. Ozark, Ark. She was the daughter of Asher Everett Townsend and Lydia Balcom.
Opal married Ernest Stone Milton on 29 Jun 1926 in Cass, Ark. Ernest was born on 13 Jul 1901 in Cass, Ark. and died on 1 Nov 1980 in Alma, Ark. aged 79.
General Notes: Ernest Milton ( my father) spent most of his life working as a carpenter. After marrying Opal (my mother) they lived in the Cass, Ark. area for a few years and then spent some time in West Texas working in the oil fields. We lived in Houston, Tx. during the early forties, where he worked in the ship-yards. Made a trip back to Ak. when he bought the home place at Alma, Ark. which is still owned by the family. The love of the oil-fields would take him back to West Texas periodicly. Cause of death Cerebral Vascular Accident. Buried Highland Cem. Ozark, Ak. S/S 462-05-1874 issued in Tex.

Paul graduated from Mulberry, High School Mulberry, Ark. in 1952. He attended Arlington State College, in Arlington, Tx., North Texas University, Hurst, Tx. and received his BA Degree from Western University of Calif. Paul served in the U.S. Army for three years. Basic training was conducted at Camp Chaffee, Ark. Paul completed helicopter Maintainance Training at Gary Air Force Base, San Marcus, Tx. Two years was with the 53rd Air Section at Ft. Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Upon seperation from active duty at Ft. Lewis, Washington, was transfered to Inactive Army Reserve to complete 8 years service obligation under the Universal Military Training and Service Act. Paul was in the Army stationed in Alaska when he and Blanche Milton married and she joined him in Alaska for the first nine months of their marriage. Paul retired from Bell Helicopter Textron in Ft. Worth, Tx. after 34 years of service. Paul and Blanche lived in Hurst, Tx. from 1956---1961, Glendora, Ca. 1961---1969, Ft. Worth, Tx. 1969---1993, Leesburg, Fl. 1993---present. Paul parents were Samuel R. Qualls and Lucille Sykes Qualls of Mulberry, Ark.
