1. Alexander Balcom 1,2 was born circa 1630 in England (Probably) and died on 4 May 1711 in RI aged about 81.
General Notes: Alexander is recorded as an inhabitant of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, 31 Jan. 1664. He purchased, 14 Jul 1664, from Nathan Payne, all his interest in a tract of land called "Wesquodonsett" located about twelve miles north of Providence.
Another deed, dated 26 May 1691, records Alexander as grantee of fifty acres of land located near the coony line and ten mile hill at Rehoboth. (Rehoboth Proprietor's Records vol. 2, page 199)
His will was proved 31 May 1711. The inventory of his personal estate was L35 4s 7d.
Alexander married Unknown (Balcom).

Alexander next married Jane Holbrook,2 daughter of Capt. William Holbrook 2 and Elizabeth Pitts,2 before 1678. Jane was born in 1652 in Weymouth, Norfolk, MA and died between 1696 and 1711.

5 M i. John Balcom 2 was born in 1678 in MA and died on 30 Jan 1739 aged 61.
John married Sarah Bartlett. Sarah died on 19 Nov 1756.
6 F ii. Freegift Balcom 2 was born in 1680 in Providence, RI and died after 1722.
Death Notes: went insane, and died sometime after 1722.
+ 7 M iii. Joseph Balcom 2 was born on 26 Jul 1682 in Providence, RI, died in 1733 in Providence, RI aged 51, and was buried in 1733 in RI.
8 F iv. Hannah Balcom 2 was born about 1684 in Providence, RI.
Hannah married Ebenezer Haywood on 22 Jan 1715.
Hannah next married John Arnold on 3 Oct 1742.
9 M v. Samuel Balcom 2 was born about 1686 in Providence, RI and died about 14 Jul 1712 in MA aged about 26.
10 F vi. Deborah Balcom 2 was born in 1688 in Providence, RI and died on 7 Jul 1713 in Mendon, Worcester, MA aged 25.
Deborah married M Arnold.
11 F vii. Lydia Balcom 2 was born about 1690 in Providence, RI.
Lydia married Samuel Hix on 14 Feb 1701.
